Mounjaro pharmacy price by dose
Each Spanish KwikPen contains four weekly doses. These published retail figures help patients plan treatment, but availability and the final amount charged must be confirmed with the dispensing pharmacy.
Important: 2.5 mg is the starting dose. Authorised maintenance doses are 5 mg, 10 mg and 15 mg; increases are made only after clinical review and at least four weeks on the current dose.
When treatment becomes stable
Stable treatment may not require a consultation every month
Early in treatment, the doctor reviews dose changes, progress and gastrointestinal side effects more closely. Once you and the doctor have reached a suitable maintenance dose, treatment is tolerated and progress remains appropriate, you may continue at that dose for longer.
After clinical review, the doctor may issue two Mounjaro prescriptions. One €39 review can therefore support two prescription periods—an effective consultation allocation of €19.50 per prescription period. The pharmacy price of each pen remains separate.
This is a clinical decision, not an entitlement or automatic repeat. The doctor may require earlier review where safety, side effects or response warrant it.Stable-treatment example

Eligibility, current medicines, previous GLP-1 treatment, contraindications, response and side effects are reviewed before prescribing.
The pharmacy supplies the prescribed strength
If clinically appropriate, a REMPe QR prescription is emailed. The clinic does not sell Mounjaro or guarantee a pharmacy’s stock.
Reviews become tailored to stability
Dose escalation needs closer supervision. Once stable, the doctor may safely extend the prescription period and continue structured follow-up.

Why do higher strengths cost more?
Spanish retail pricing differs by presentation. Dose changes must be based on clinical need, not price alone.
Will I need a consultation every month?
Not always. Once clinically stable, the doctor may issue two prescriptions after one review when appropriate.
Does that make the review cost €19.50 per month?
Where one €39 review supports two prescription periods, the consultation allocation is €19.50 per period. Pen costs remain separate.
Can I remain on 5 mg?
5 mg is an authorised maintenance dose. The doctor decides whether it remains effective and well tolerated for you.
Can I buy a stronger pen to save money?
No. Use only the exact strength and dosing instructions prescribed. Do not improvise doses or count clicks.
Can the clinic reserve stock?
No. Individual pharmacies control stock and dispensing.
